This practical workshop equips educators to re-evaluate and examine critically the religious education curricula and institutional practices in their institutions. Based on the core tension between education and evangelization, participants will explore the unique cultural and cognitive mindset of the youth. Through guided evaluation of current instructional strategies and assessment methods, attendees will learn how to foster deep critical thinking and intellectual engagement in faith formation. By balancing institutional goals with individual student thought, participants will leave with actionable insights to cultivate modern, impactful Catholic education that effectively reaches today's students.
At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
Analyze current religious education curriculum and institutional practices to identify strengths and areas for pedagogical improvement.
Evaluate instructional strategies and assessment methods to determine their effectiveness in fostering critical thinking and intellectual engagement in faith formation.
