CPD UNITS

There is much talk about the need to develop the 4 Cs (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication) as key to preparing student for a complex, largely unknown future. Yet it is challenging to implement because this means striking a balance between developing these soft skills and achieving the Kto12 curriculum standards. Project-Based Learning (PBL) may provide just the answer! In this seminar-workshop, participants will explore how PBL provides teachers a valuable entry point prior to engaging, relevant, and effective instruction that addresses both types of goals. Participants will design a PBL unit and write a PBL unit plan. They will discuss implementation and classroom management issues related to carrying out the unit, especially in the Philippine context.
